The Holy Name Society is a St. Mary’s men’s group that is open to all men of the parish who are either over 30 or married. The group meets regularly on the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. The evening starts with Mass at 6pm, followed by a talk, food and fellowship.

The aim of the Society is to promote:

  1. Reverence for the Sacred Names of God and Jesus Christ,
  2. Obedience and loyalty to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church, and
  3. The personal sanctification and holiness of its members.

As part of their apostolate, the members of the Holy Name Society are asked to pray daily for the following intentions:

  • The Church – the Holy Father, the Bishops, and all clergy and religious
  • Those in civil authority – the President, the Congress, the Governor, the State Assembly, members of local government, First Responders
  • St. Mary’s parish
  • The husbands and fathers of St. Mary’s Parish
  • The young men of St. Mary’s Parisa
