Holy Name Society

The Holy Name Society is St. Mary’s men’s group. This group meets periodically and is open to all men of the parish who are either over 30 or married.

The Holy Name Society will regularly meet on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

Meetings occur after the 6pm Mass and include a brief talk, and a meal taken together at the rectory.

The aim of the Society is to promote:

1. Reverence for the Sacred Names of God and Jesus Christ,
2. Obedience and loyalty to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church, and
3. The personal sanctification and holiness of its members.

As part of their apostolate, the members of the Holy Name Society are asked to pray daily for the following intentions:

• The Church – the Holy Father, the Bishops, and all clergy and religious
• Those in civil authority – the President, the Congress, the Governor, the State Assembly, members of local government, First Responders
• St. Mary’s parish
• The husbands and fathers of St. Mary’s Parish
• The young men of St. Mary’s Parish
