Today, in addition to being an Ember Wednesday, is also the Feast of St. Joseph of Cupertino, the Patron of the Fraternity of St. Peter’s house in Providence, Rhode Island.
St. Joseph of Cupertino (d. 1663) was a humble Franciscan Priest known for his holiness and mystical experiences, including levitating while saying Mass.
St. Joseph of Cupertino is also the Patron of Test-Takers. Although he was a good and holy friar, he had a very hard time with studies. During his seminary exams, the examiner happened to ask him to explain the only thing he knew well, and so he was ordained a Deacon, and later a Priest.

Pray to St. Joseph of Cupertino
O Great Saint Joseph Cupertino, who didst obtain from God the Grace to be asked at your examinations the questions you know, obtain for me from God a like favor in the exam for which I am now preparing. In return, I promise to spread your devotion and have you invoked. Amen.
