St. Mary’s will celebrate a sung Rorate Mass in honor of Our Lady in Advent on Saturday, December 14 at 5:30 a.m.
Rorate Masses were celebrated, especially in Germany and Eastern Europe, throughout Advent before dawn and by candlelight only. This is in keeping with the idea of keeping vigil with Mary as she awaits the birth of the Light of World. This beautiful tradition was extended to parishes of the FSSP in other parts of the world for Saturdays during Advent.
